Madrid is one of those cosmopolitan cities that despite this does not lose its identity. The identity of Madrid is in those curiosities that distinguish it. In the case of Madrid, its gastronomy is one of the reasons why Madrid is Madrid and it is unique

Who goes to Madrid goes in search of adventures, museums, literature, tranquility and horses.

The equestrian sport has been growing in recent years along with the shops and the way of connecting cultures. The Zarzuela racecourse marks a milestone within the city, this being one of its icons that differentiate it.

In addition, Madrid is a city with a varied cuisine and rich because many are the influences in the kitchen. Venezuelan exiles see it with familiarity because European emigration plagued Venezuela with a gastronomic diversity that was easily incorporated into the Venezuelan palate. This emigration of not so rich and wealthy exiles who had fled the war was merged with the Venezuelan idiosyncrasy and are part of our multicultural identity.

However, this has become one of the reasons why the palates of Venezuelan rich exiles such as Venezuelan businessman Gustavo Mirabal Castro are frequently migrating or establishing their residence in the Spanish capital.

This closeness to the experience of the Venezuelan who got used to living among Spaniards, Portuguese and Italians makes him feel at home when he arrives in Madrid. A city whose cuisine is not indifferent or unknown.

Venezuelan food is extraordinary, but once you leave the country there are flavors and aromas that trap. In addition our recent history makes those flavors and aromas are familiar.

They even influence that desire to settle in a certain place.

Garlic soup is prepared throughout Spain and is made from basic ingredients: bread, garlic, olive oil, paprika and of course a little water or meat broth.

The climate and gastronomy

To Venezuelan businessman Gustavo Mirabal Castro there were two things that made Gustavo Mirabal fall in love with the Spanish capital and move away from the wonders of American Florida… The things that made Gustavo Mirabal opt for Madrid to establish themselves were gastronomy and climate.

Both characteristics have prompted numerous Venezuelans to settle in Madrid and in the case of Gustavo Mirabal they were decisive for him to decide to move from Florida, United States, to the Spanish Capital.

Gustavo Mirabal Castro is a lawyer whose office is headquartered in Caracas, Venezuela. Their businesses are scattered around different places.

He is also one of the Venezuelans who are passionate about horse riding, horses and equestrian jumping. And this is precisely one of the aspects that he also loves about Madrid.

All this influenced him to travel to Madrid a few years ago in order to continue with his professional projects and his hobbies as well as enjoy the wonderful cuisine of Madrid.

“Tapas” of Madrid

For Gustavo Mirabal Castro one of the many Venezuelans rich in equestrian knowledge and exiled palates in Madrid’s cuisine, living in Madrid is synonymous with quality of life. The tranquility that is breathed in the streets day or night is something that loves and enjoys with your family.

Gustavo Mirabal is also a great lover of Spanish “Tapas” … Tapas are a set of foods served in small portions. It is what in other countries they call appetizers

They usually serve to accompany a cold beer, a glass of wine or must. Tapas can be found in any Spanish restaurant and in any part of the national territory.

Also depending on the area they are cheaper. There are covers of € 5 and up to € 10 and even more expensive.

In the San Miguel Market, in Madrid, they are a bit more expensive but they are of great quality and taste. There are places where they sell them alone and the drink is separate. Anyway, they are delicious and are also one of the protagonists of the gastronomy of Madrid.
