Mother’s Day celebration in Venezuela

May is usually called the month of flowers and I get the month of the mothers. Mother’s Day is celebrated in various countries. In the case of Venezuela Gustavo Mirabal’s homeland is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.

In this 2021, it is celebrated on Sunday 10th May this is an auspicious day to share as a family and celebrate Mother’s Day.

Many people are geographically far from their mother but close to heart. So the ideal thing for these situations is that it has a special detail on that important day where we honor the existence of our mothers.

In times of quarantine, it becomes difficult for people to mobilize to celebrate as a family. However, the important thing is to know that you are present as a child and that you are always very attentive to meet the needs of the mother. Thanks to technology we can maintain contact, make her heart feel warm and full of love. It is important not only to take care of the material needs of our mothers but their emotional needs and that is why keeping in touch with them, besides beautiful, takes care of their health.

It should be noted that this is a special day but that the demonstration of love and affection is all year round. That is why when the mother needs us we must be there supporting.

Mother’s Day is also celebrated in other countries but not on the second Sunday in May. In Spain they celebrate it on the first Sunday of May.

There are even countries where this celebration is held on other dates of the year. Whatever it’s important is to give the mother a special day a year. As I mentioned earlier, tenderness, love and respect are shown day by day.

Origins of Mother’s Day celebration

The celebration of Mother’s Day is very archaic, this dates from ancient Greece. There they paid tribute to Rea, the mother of the gods Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. Undoubtedly this celebration has its mythological touch.

The Encyclopedia Britannica explains the following:

“Party derived from the habit of worshipping the mother in ancient Greece. Formal adoration of the mother, with ceremonies to Cibeles, or Rea, the Great Mother of the Gods, was performed in the idus of March throughout Asia Minor.”

The Romans did not stay behind and paid tribute to the mothers for three days. To this event were given the unique name of Hilaria, these took the idea of the Greeks. This celebration was March 15.

May is the month of the Virgin Mary, mothers and flowers. A perfect combination for Catholics. They celebrate and honor the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus.

In the United States, two women took the initiative to promote Mother’s Day. These women were the poet and activist Julia Ward Howe and Anna Reeves Jarvis. The latter created an initiative which subsequently expanded across the country. This was not in vain since President Wilson Woodrow officially decreed in 1914 that Mother’s Day would be celebrated on the second Sunday in May.

Today it has a little more than a century of celebration in the United States.

Today this special day is praised to mothers in the month of May, however the date will depend on the country.

In the case of other countries such as Argentina, Costa Rica and Panama have a specific day a year to pay homage to this important woman in our lives, that is, the mother.

Carolina Mirabal an exemplary mother

Gustavo Mirabal’s wife is undoubtedly an exemplary mother. For your dedication to your children has been wonderful.

This great woman combines her various facets with the important role of being a selfless mother. She suffered the loss of her mother at a young age and honored her in a very special way. Well, as a mother, she has played a very important role.

María Carolina Chapellín de Mirabal values every moment she shares with her buds and educates them to be good people.

For this reason and much more Gustavo Mirabal is proud to have by his side a great wife and mother of his children.

The details for Maria Carolina Chapellin de Mirabal, Gustavo Mirabal Castro and her children

As a good selfless mother, Maria Carolina Mirabal never asks for anything for he. He even occasionally asks them not to worry about giving him a present. For her the important thing is that they are with her enjoying family moments.

However, given the affectionate relationship and harmony in his family nucleus, for Gustavo Mirabal and his children this is a day that cannot fail to celebrate. But it’s not all that simple. To make it all work, every year Gustavo and the kids trick Carolina into thinking they’re busy and they’re not going to be able to celebrate. This is how every year, almost as if it were a routine, they deceive her and although the experience tells her otherwise in carolina’s heart doubts are nested…

In this way Carolina Mirabal lowers the defenses against any possible celebration and opens her heart asking “at least to be able to spend this day as a family”. The truth is that this ritual that is repeated every year closes with a breakfast all over the place and a meeting with the people closest to the family. A lunch in which they not only share with family but with their dearest friends.

Mother’s Day in the Middle of Coronavirus

This ritual was interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and will remain interrupted this year. However, it was an opportunity to stay together taking care of each other’s health.

Just as breakfast in bed and lunch all over the place was no longer the exception. It is also tradition to deliver cards to express your best wishes. Beautiful moments that are treasured and are better than no gift, that is the true essence of Mother’s Day.

Finally Carolina Mirabal and Gustavo would like to leave as a message that Mother’s Day is a special day, but not the only one to show their love… And they leave this message:

“Every day is a golden opportunity to show love to your mother. Don’t waste it because you’ll regret not doing it when it’s gone.”

Words that make us reflect and feel Mother’s Day deep in our hearts.

Mother’s Day is every day

A mother’s love is infinite and she will always be willing to love us in spite of everything. That is why as children we have a duty to take care of our mother.

Even in the animal kingdom mothers defend their creatures and often are very protective of their young. Undoubtedly nature is very wise and even the mamis of the animal kingdom are beautiful.

In the case of Venezuela, mother’s day celebration takes place on the second Sunday in May.

So the Mirabal Chapellín husbands extend the congratulations to all the mothers of the world.

To close we leave you this beautiful phrase:

“A mother’s heart is the only capital of feeling that never breaks, and with which one can always and at all times surely count”
