PACT Act

Congressmen Ted Deutch and Vern Buchanan have prepared the ‘PACT Act’, “Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act”. This with the purpose of transforming cruelty against animals into a federal crime.

Today that matter is established by each state and the 50 that make up the country have laws in this regard. However, prosecutors are obtained with obstacles at the time of the investigation process since the offenders acting in several states.

Last step to finalize the PACT law: Donald Trump stamps his signature to realize this important initiative

The Animal Cruelty and Torture Prevention Act (PACT) is of the utmost importance for the welfare of animals. Therefore, on November 26, the president of the United States Donal Trump signed a bill in which it was achieved that:

“Animal abuse is a federal crime in the United States.”
