The majestic seahorses or hippocampus form a group of marine fish that belong to the Syngnathidae family, also includes pipefish.

Its origin results from the combination of the two words in Greek:

Last step to finalize the PACT law: Donald Trump stamps his signature to realize this important initiative

The Animal Cruelty and Torture Prevention Act (PACT) is of the utmost importance for the welfare of animals. Therefore, on November 26, the president of the United States Donal Trump signed a bill in which it was achieved that:

“Animal abuse is a federal crime in the United States.”

In this regard, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed the following:

“This measure would help us to be more responsible and humane administrators of our planet.”

This is a phrase that goes like a ring to the finger and more in this year where fires in different countries have ended the fauna and flora of the planet.

It is also a call to reflection not only to American citizens but to the entire world to be more aware in the care and preservation of the environment. This happens by recycling, reusing and protecting animals, trying as far as possible to maintain animal welfare.

Undoubtedly, the Animal Cruelty and Torture Prevention Act (PACT) will apply throughout the United States.

This is an example for the rest of the countries to start creating animal protection laws.

This is a milestone in the contemporary history of the United States. It is also considered a true success for animal protection societies.

Scope of the Law of Prevention of Cruelty and Animal Torture (PACT)

Federal law, in times past, had only forbidden cruelty against animals. In addition, cruelty to animals was only a crime if criminals create and market the videos that represent the act.

Now the act itself is criminalized as a huge advance in animal abuse.

Therefore, the Law of Prevention of Cruelty and Animal Torture (PACT), has a greater scope. Indeed, a person can be prosecuted for crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating or impaling animals or exploiting them sexually.

On the other hand this is great news for all those foundations, activists and people who love animals.
